I used to be a carb nazi…I preached that crap for two or three years. And it works!! Really, really well! But intermittent fasting works really, really well too and it disproved the whole theory of insulin response with carbs…I eat whatever the fuck I want nowadays and still maintain under 10% body fat. Leanest dude in my gym by far. Just had 2 pizza burritos full of bacon, pepperoni, grilled chicken, mozzarella and spaghetti sauce on fresh cooked tortillas. I’m a god damned genius for inventing that burrito flavor BTW.

Hmmmm interesting. Funny you mention it because I was taking gaba not too long ago and it was in a mixture with some other stuff. Anyways, I think it was causing me to wake up kind of uncoordinated and feeling just kind of weird. Dissociative I guess you could say, which makes sense because it’s related to the NMDA receptors somehow I think. It supposedly “can’t” cross the blood brain barrier, at least this is repeated despite the fact that it can and does, it’s just an unreliable mechanism in which it does. Low levels of gaba were insinuated to absorb more in the brain also. I didn’t have this issue as if I took the full 750 mg I felt very strange consistently and none of the other supplements in the mixture would seem to do this.

    I also enjoy training fasted, as I feel springier and not weighed down by food. I’m sure my actual performance suffers from it (., I could push myself even further if I had more fuel), but I’ve made pretty good progress in terms of strength and conditioning while following an IF+carb cycling diet for a cut: All mediocre numbers, but I’m happy with a 455#x1 squat, 355#x1 bench, 465#x5 DL, 297 calories on Airdyne in 10min. All this was done at 6’3″, 245# after a ~6 month cut from 285#, when I was squatting 405×1 at beginning.
